BEST FRAT TO PARTY WITH
Runners up: Beta Theta Pi, Pi Kappa Phi
You’ll recognize this fraternity’s townhouse by the gigantic wooden bench in the front yard, a spot to relax as the weather warms up. Once Saturday night rolls around, Sigma Chi is also one of the best places on campus to party.
The fraternity has a reputation for producing student leaders, with three fraternity brothers serving as president of the Student Association in recent years, which undoubtedly contributes to their air of confidence. If you see a house full of southern gents in seersucker and Madras prints debating politics, you’re probably in the right place.
At a Sigma Chi party, there’s a relaxed atmosphere and you can catch party-goers letting loose with more ridiculous dance moves than you’d find at clubs or parties full of shoulder-dancing judgment-avoiders. Sigma Chi also earns high marks for solid DJ work and a healthy appreciation for early-2000’s pop.
Sigma Chi recently broke GW’s philanthropic record during Derby Days, the group’s fall philanthropy, by raising more than $80,000 for the Huntsman Cancer Foundation. They work hard, they play hard and GW students say they want to join the party.
