THE HATCHET'S 2015 BEST OF NORTHWEST
When you attend a city school like GW, you trade campus bars and football games for a seemingly endless list of happy hours, art exhibits and restaurants. More than 500 readers voted for the hottest athletes, the best burger and the grooviest concert venue in Northwest D.C. to make choosing what to do and what to eat a little easier — after class, of course.
Food
When you’re sick of Whole Foods’ hot bar, french fries from the Shenkman Hall basement and Kraft Macaroni & Cheese, where do you turn?
adventures
Picking the best place to catch a show or crack open a new book is tricky. Whether a friend from home is visiting or you’re spending your Sunday afternoon solo, check out the best in our quadrant before you hit the pavement (or call an Uber).
GOING OUT
If you’re the type of person who gets antsy around 5 p.m. on Thursdays, read on. Our readers’ favorite happy hour and dive bar are revealed — and we’ve even included an option for readers under 21 years old.
CAMPUS LIFE

But the addition of the sparkly new Science and Engineering Hall and the departure of a few seniors left other categories more competitive.
